About Dave Best

Best College Music Consulting orchestrates the college search for talented musicians. Many of our students strive to earn admission at their best music college fit including conservatories, schools of music, conservatory style programs as well as departments of music.  Some select us to leverage their talent for an academic admit.   

 

Led by Lehigh MBA Dave Best, he has been passionate about college admissions for decades. Dave serves as his alumni class columnist, and has also served as an alumni admissions outreach volunteer.  

 

Dave is an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC).  Having visited well over 100 colleges, Dave works tirelessly to stay on top of the music admissions process at top programs nationwide for his students.  

 

Married to wife Wendy for 25+ years, they are the proud parents of Justin, a graduate of The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where he received his Bachelor’s of Music in Clarinet Performance. Justin also graduated with honors and with the Fine Arts Award from Interlochen Arts Academy. Justin spent his summers playing at The Music Academy, with National Repertory Orchestra, Texas Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, and Interlochen Arts Camp. Currently he is finishing his masters degree at Rice in clarinet performance and performs with the Houston Grand Opera.  

 

As a proud member of the Independent Educational Consultant Association  (IECA), Dave was selected to host a roundtable for music admissions at a recent conference.
